Yes, similar to the Easley chiropractic treatment of back pain and neck pain using Cox Technic flexion distraction, knee sufferers (like those with knee osteoarthritis) are finding relief with distraction of the knee. These French researchers have developed a surgical distraction procedure (separate the knee joint surgically and keep it that way for 2 months with an external metal frame!). (1) New protocols are in development now and being tested that don’t require surgery to distract the knee joint, just hands-on flexion distraction of the knee joint. When a referral service or provider referral is involved in the care of neck pain (uncomplicated and complicated), fees are affected. MD/PT care is more expensive on average than MD/DC care.
