A study of conservative treatment of low back pain as a result of lumbar spinal stenosis found that incorporating flexion distraction spinal manipulation produced a more significant decrease in pain and disability scores. (5) Another study using a Cox® flexion distraction influenced treatment of knee pain and osteoarthritis documented a mean decrease in VAS (visual analog scale 0-10)-patient reported pain scores from 7.7 to 1.8 in 5.3 treatments in 3 weeks.
