MID-SPINE PAIN ISSUES

MID-BACK PAIN RELIEF
Chiropractic spinal manipulation and mobilization treatment for mid back pain relief has been studied. In one study, the responses of patients who had chronic thoracic spine pain from the T6 to T8 area for over 3 months were studied for their response to spinal manipulation. Though not significant, a decrease in pain intensity, spinal stiffness, tenderness, and disability were observed. (1) Pain sufferers appreciate any relief! A different study reported how spinal manipulation and mobilization treatment created various muscle responses and instantaneous effects on the pain intensity of chronic thoracic middle back pain patients. Spinal manipulation created greater muscular response and reduction in pain intensity. (2) A third study queried what influenced patients’ positive response to treatment for their non-specific thoracic spine pain? They found that their expectations of improvement and their comfort throughout the spinal manipulative treatment exhibited influential roles in the patient responses.
